Only two days after Ukraine launched Operation Spider Web and destroyed over 40 of Russia’s long-range bombers, an underwater bomb was detonated early Tuesday morning, taking out Russia’s Kerch Strait Bridge — a critical piece of infrastructure that connects occupied Crimea to Russia’s Krasnodar Krai region.
Adviser to the Minister of Strategic Industries in Ukraine, Yuriy Sak told Newsmax that the back-to-back high value strikes show Ukrainians “still have cards” to play.
Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) released a statement immediately following the strike, “The operation lasted for several months. SBU agents mined the supports of this illegal construction,” the agency said, adding that “without inflicting any civilian casualties, the first explosive was activated at 4:44 a.m.”
