Axios: Trump to Release Budget on Friday

President Donald Trump plans to release his much-anticipated budget for the fiscal year 2026 on May 2, Axios has reported.

In April, the House passed the budget supported by President Donald Trump that includes trillions in tax cuts and government spending. Now Republicans must work to merge the version passed by the Senate to create Trump’s long envisioned “big, beautiful bill.” Trump’s budget set to arrive at Congress on Friday will give details on how the White House intends to pay for not only expenditures allocated to each agency but also how the administration intends to make up for revenue amid the president’s proposed tax cuts. The government’s fiscal year starts Oct. 1.

During a rally in Michigan on Wednesday, Trump lambasted those Democrats and Republicans opposing his bill accusing them of “grandstanding.” Trump said his bill has “100 percent just about Republican support,” adding it “would be nice if we had just a couple of Democrats just to make sure, because, you know, every once in a while, you have a grandstander Republican. We have some grandstanders.”
